Comments: Hi this is brilliant! I am researching my family tree and over time different items are showing and this is one of them. I have a family that has possibly come from Catrine (thats what is showing) The one name and year i do have is Hugh Craig from 1869.I know it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack but if anyone is able to help in any way I would appreciate it. Thanks Liz

Comments: My 3x greatgrandfather, Issac Watts, was born in Catrine and immigrated to the United States after marrying a Sarah Garvock. I would love to learn more about the Watts in Catrine if anyone has any information. Thank you for the website!
Comments: It is so lovely to see a photo of my dad on here, Tommy Fowler. He was born in 1947 and lived in John St with his parents and sister. Both Helen (Ella) and James (Ben) have died now and so has his sister Grace (Eleanor) but he is living in Sydney, Australia with my Mum, Elizabeth who is from Cumnock. They emigrated in 1970. I visited Catrine a new times when my grandparents were alive and they are buried in the cemetery in Catrine. I live in London now and haven’t been up for a long time to visit. I should ask them if they have some old photos of the village or the school.

Comments: Great website! We will be visiting the area in September and hope to see where my husband's ancestors lived. James Hamilton is said to have lived and died here as did his daughter Agnes Hamilton McMillan. Agnes died in 1887 and I would love to know if there are gravestones nearby. Thank you for all of the great local history.
